My Fellow DeadJournalians,

For the past 5 years I have funded and ran this site entirely by myself. All while holding a full time job as a Pharmacist. For the past year this site has caused me more headaches and anxiety that I could have ever anticipated.

As a last ditch effort to save my sanity and keep the site running, I approached Brad from LiveJournal.com hoping he would take over the site to keep the community running. To my surprise, he responded favorably and we got started on details.

For the past month we have been integrating the business and technical sides of the two sites.

I feel that this change is for the better of both sites and will cause the community to grow as a whole.

yeah, well, congrats for being able to keep the site alive, but the liveliness and the colors have to go. I can't stand it. It's all preppy, and --- and--- full of life!

lol, i'm not trying to trash you coz i'm glad you could keep the site alive, just hoping you can get back on your feet again with the site

...So, overly perky person that I am (I just gotta outta my morning class and NOW the coffee kicks in...), I read The News, and immediately dashed off an email to "deadjournal-merge@livejournal.com" (in brief, thanks all around, but BLUE and WHITE?) - and guess what?

Instead of getting "Your email has been sent", I got "The email address deadjournal-merge@livejournal.com in the 'To:' field has the wrong format. Please review and correct it. (Reference # 101)"

...It IS the first of April...

i use woohu and Andy (the site owner) played a april fools prank, saying he is going to shut the site down in huge bold letters. then he says its april fools. eh i hope this doesnt last long.

Har har har. I must admit, you got me good. I was seriously freaking out for a moment. Deadjournal is awesome the way it is and if for some insane reason help is needed to run it, choose anyone except livejournal. Anyone at all but keep the pearly white screens away from the dead.

I completely understand where your coming from I really do... But its to happy now... I liked the dark side better than this zip happy one. Could u possibly talk to Brad and see if u can still keep deadjournal dark...? Cause no offense... its kinda dumb now... I understand u have a life too. But this is where I vent and I was glad it was the way it was because it was dark and not all happy and shit... so could u still keep them merged but possib;y make it darker...? Thank you for your time.
