My Fellow DeadJournalians,

For the past 5 years I have funded and ran this site entirely by myself. All while holding a full time job as a Pharmacist. For the past year this site has caused me more headaches and anxiety that I could have ever anticipated.

As a last ditch effort to save my sanity and keep the site running, I approached Brad from LiveJournal.com hoping he would take over the site to keep the community running. To my surprise, he responded favorably and we got started on details.

For the past month we have been integrating the business and technical sides of the two sites.

I feel that this change is for the better of both sites and will cause the community to grow as a whole.

either one...this is just an elaborate (but not so elaborate) trick to make u all feel like elmer fudd after a spelling bee, or two...we need to be especially gratefull and kissing brads toes like peasants for keeping our adourned and loved deadjournal creator in his right mind (provided its not too late)....

but instead almost three hundred deadjournalers come running to the bait and get nailed...it reminds me of the autistic chimpanzee who keeps trying to pick up the banana that has electrodes wired to it, and subsequently gets even more retarded from one to many electrical shocks because he couldnt figure that the banana wasnt meant to be eaten.

I was shocked there for a moment. No offense to livejournal users but their rules just fucking suck.

It's a shock to the senses when something you don't expect shows up in the most unusual place. Ok.

Of course it's a prank. Even if Livejournal was taking over Deadjournal... they wouldn't have to change the front page like this. They would just maintain it as is.

Sheesh, GULLIBLE ISN'T IN THE DICTIONARY, you know.

Besides, the two would merge and become the... (duh duh duh) UNDEADjournal.

the only thing that would be cool about this (if this is not a joke) that we could possibly have all our "friends" in one place, LJ/DJ into one page. thatd be awesome. and both just merge into one. thatd be great. but the damn layout of LJ blows, bring back the BLACK!!!

Some of you are STILL freaking out about this... "IF this is a prank...." or "thanks for everything Frank, hope things work out for you..."

FIRST OF ALL: It's so OBVIOUSLY a prank.
Secondly, Frank hasn't replied to ANY of the comments on all 6 pages (he may have commented during that whole dispute over justin t. on the first page... but that'd be all)... Know why? He's too busy laughing his ass off at gullible DJ users.

And someone else mentioned it before---they wouldn't have to change the setup/layout/colors.
Also, Frank would have told us ALL in ADVANCE...especially paid users...since they're giving their money to him to make DJ work.

IT'S ALL A PRANK!! CALM DOWN!!! No need to get your panties in a twist.

You know, you could have merged & kept the same layout to which we have all become acostomed. Or, if you wanted to make more sense, taken the livejournal layout & inverted the colors. But... the white just.... scares me..

I agree. This white on blue is too...bright.
I liked the old layout of deadjournal waaaaay better! It gave the whole site the grunge look it deserved and it was a lot more amusing. Please change the look back. Even if Brad is now also co-running this site it should NOT look like a livejournal! Otherwise deadjournal doesn't deserve its name. This new look sucks and it is boring as hell. :-(
