My Fellow DeadJournalians,

For the past 5 years I have funded and ran this site entirely by myself. All while holding a full time job as a Pharmacist. For the past year this site has caused me more headaches and anxiety that I could have ever anticipated.

As a last ditch effort to save my sanity and keep the site running, I approached Brad from LiveJournal.com hoping he would take over the site to keep the community running. To my surprise, he responded favorably and we got started on details.

For the past month we have been integrating the business and technical sides of the two sites.

I feel that this change is for the better of both sites and will cause the community to grow as a whole.

I'm a paid member and loved how the deadjournal outline looked .. if i loved how the livejournal looked i would have been a paid member there.

I think its cool (if its actually going to go through) that the layout was changed but unfortunately to a layout that is very annoying, I don't even use it on my LJ account. Hopefully there will be back up layouts (or the old one)?

I don't mind Livejournal and Deadjournal being run together, but is it too much to ask that the format gets changed back to what it used to be? This one is too bright and happy and clean... I miss the old one...

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, because I can't live without my deadjournal, but this layout sucks. All the white makes my head hurt. I came to deadjournal for a reason...because it's not live journal.
