My Fellow DeadJournalians,

For the past 5 years I have funded and ran this site entirely by myself. All while holding a full time job as a Pharmacist. For the past year this site has caused me more headaches and anxiety that I could have ever anticipated.

As a last ditch effort to save my sanity and keep the site running, I approached Brad from LiveJournal.com hoping he would take over the site to keep the community running. To my surprise, he responded favorably and we got started on details.

For the past month we have been integrating the business and technical sides of the two sites.

I feel that this change is for the better of both sites and will cause the community to grow as a whole.

Maybe it's just me (and the fact that it's 4 in the morning), but seeing the little skulls, devils, and other generally dark DJ stuff on a white background amuses me greatly. I also love the brownish-grey pencil. *grin*

Actually, this whole thing reminds me of something that occurred to me a while back. I wish that the LJ downloadable client could be recolored for DJ - black backgrounds and such. So, if anyone's got some free time.... :)

If this is for real can I find the option to get my money back? Just because it went to live journal, the layout didn't have to change! If I wanted something bright, and costs $15, I would have just gone to LJ and gotten it for free, and then tool my journal to look dark... but it's not the same! Anyway, if this isn't a joke, I mean it, Thanks Frank for all you have done for us... but at least get LJ to change the opening pages layouts for us to our beloved black and grey!

Who knows? Maybe when Frank changes it back, he'll have fixed all of the horrible grammatical and spelling errors on the main page that makes us look like idiots!

Not sure what would be more funny, if this wasn't a joke and everybody thoughtthat it was, or it it is a joke XD Either way, I am amused, but dude - did you have to go as far as to change everything white!? Thanks for all the effort you've put in with this, it must have been a lot of hard work and I'm sure I speak for everone when I say we're all really grateful! You're fabulous! I really enjoy my journal and it has like my whole life over the last year on it, I get a deeper insight into my friends' lives. I don't know what I'd do without it! xxxx

im sure you wont get to this or actully read this but...

this merge is fine but why do we have to lose some of the things we always had. like for instance the mood icons and the plce to put what are music is and stuff. live journal users have those two options but our are gone now. maybe if there was a way to stick those back in... thats would be awesome. anyways have a great day. and thanks for your time. - m
