Maintenance Tomorrow on Site.
Hello everyone,

scsi (I run this site if you didnt know).

This is a friendly notification that I am going to do some work on the database friday 10/22 starting at round 10:00pm PDT. The site will remain up and operational during this time. Everything will be happening in the background.

This database conversion is in preperation for the code upgrade to follow in the next week or so. You shouldnt see any difference in the site nor your journals. Backups will be taken right before the conversion in case something horrible goes wrong.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my (work) partner Tiffany AKA

niftybitch. She is handling all of the site related work (layout, new side menu, abuse, etc) leaving me to handle the backend (servers, network stuff, etc).. She currently lives in London, so if you see some strange times coming from her posts, she's not a vampire or insomniac, she's just 8 hours ahead of me.. She has already done a ton of work on redoing the side menu and other small issues that will take place once the code is upgraded. Also she points out my horrible spelling and grammar (and my mental fart about spelling the word apprichate).

If you need to reach her, you can do so at niftybitch@deadjournal.com. Realize that she's 8 hours ahead.. Please dont bombard her journal or her email with support requests, we have probably the best support team on the int0rw3b here at DJ, and they really do like to help you all out.

Also, we are currently looking for beta testers for the new DJ code! The test site is http://trinary.deadjournal.org. Please let us know of any bugs or issues you may see over there.. There is a community setup
